ADDY’s Recap – The Roaring ADDY’s

Last week we had an amazing time at the American Advertising Awards, also known as the ADDY Awards.

The ADDY Awards are the world’s largest advertising competition with more than 60,000 entries annually. The mission of the American Advertising Awards is to recognize and reward the creative spirit of excellence in the art of advertising. Conducted annually by the AAF, the local tier is the first of a three-tier, national competition. Concurrently, across the country, local entrants vie to receive an ADDY Award—recognition as the very best in their markets.

We just celebrated the local ADDY Awards on February 29th with “The Roaring ADDY’s.” It was our best showing yet with three silver ADDY awards and four bronze citations of excellence. In the last three years, we have entered 24 campaigns or single entries and have received 23 awards for that work.

We entered new categories this year, so several of the awards were particularly exciting. Our Founder’s Dinner campaign for the non-profit A Step Ahead – East Tennessee won a silver award. This campaign included matching collateral that included an Annual Report, Save the Date card, invitation, and table cards with custom illustrations of trailblazing Tennessee women.

We also won two silvers for our website for BookCase.Club, a monthly subscription box featuring books for kids, adults, and everyone in between. One silver was for the website rebrand which included custom video, graphics, new content, and an interface that was tailored to their target audience. We also won a silver ADDY award for data-driven marketing from a form we added to the website that changes the experience and landing page based on the user’s selections. With selections that allow you to customize your recommendations by gender, reading preferences, and age, we were able to streamline the purchase process and, most importantly for our clients, increase conversion rates.

Our bronze awards included recognition for websites (SJNKnox.org), collateral materials (a media kit for HospitalCareers.com and our annual report for A Step Ahead), and our social campaign for A Night to Remember. The last campaign has also been recognized on the Shortlist for the US Social Media Awards, which is held in Miami at the end of March.
