From Mockup to Launch: AAIT™

It’s another website launch day here at Smarter Searches! We’ve spent the last several weeks building a brand new website for Acceptance and Integration Training, or AAIT™. AAIT™ is a therapeutic framework for alleviating psychological pain while contributing to spiritual well-being. Therapists trained in the methods of AAIT™ are successful in treating a variety of issues including anxiety, self-esteem, depression, trauma, work problems, and substance abuse.

The Project

The founder of AAIT™, Melanie McGhee, came to us with an existing website that needed a complete overhaul. The content was out of date, the layout was boxy, and she felt uncomfortable sending potential clients to her website. If you feel the same way, here’s your sign to get a new website. You deserve a website you’re proud to show off!

Melanie needed a fresh website that was user-friendly and modern. As a Knoxvillian herself, she wanted to hire a local business to take on her website project. Thanks for shopping local and trusting us with your new site, Melanie!

The Mockup

If you’ve worked with us before or read the other From Mockup to Launch blog posts, you know that a crucial part of our website building process is creating a flat PDF mockup of the homepage design prior to building. Our client gets to weigh in on the design and give feedback before we move onto the building stage, which allows us to make sure we’re on the same page.

Melanie had a logo and brand style guide when she came to us, so we made sure to use her current branding elements, fonts, colors, and styles in the design of the mockup.

Smarter Searches mock up for the new AAIT website.

We wanted the design to feel clean, welcoming, and soft on the eyes while also presenting the information in a way that was simple for users to digest. We chose the lighter and darker green colors from her existing color palette as the focus colors and incorporated hand-drawn floral elements flowing down the page to add an organic feel.

Melanie provided some feedback and suggestions on the mockup, and then we were ready to roll with the build!

The Big Reveal

Here it is…the final homepage! You’ll notice some differences between the final homepage and the mockup – Melanie was able to put her own spin on the design and make sure it was exactly what she wanted. We incorporated more colors from her color palette, providing more contrast while still keeping the soft, modern look we were aiming for.

Congratulations on your new site, Melanie! You can check out the full site here. If you’re currently suffering from a case of website embarrassment like Melanie was, schedule a free consultation with us and we’ll help you create a website you’re proud of!
