The Smarter Searches team was recently honored with 5 nominations to the AAF Big Wig Awards, celebrating the unsung heroes of advertising.
The Big Wig Awards honor the behind-the-scenes people — printers, photographers, media reps, digital analysts — that make great advertising happen in an environment when it’s easy for them to fail to receive the recognition they deserve. But on Wednesday, October 22, they’ll get their turn in the limelight, thanks to the “Big Wig” Awards Program hosted by the American Advertising Federation of Knoxville, the local chapter of the advertising industry’s biggest professional trade organization.
Our nominations were as follows:
- Courtney Herda – Best Digital Specialist
- Courtney Herda – Best SEO or SEM Specialist
- Courtney Herda – Most Likely to be Your Boss in 10 Years
- Alison Ross – Best Blogger
- Alison Ross – Best Social Media Strategist
The Big Wig Awards will be presented at Club LeConte October 22nd at 6:30pm. Tickets can be purchased from the AAF Knoxville chapter website.
While I’d like to say that it’s an honor to be nominated – and it most definitely is – my competitive streak has been ignited and naturally, I really want to win. Voting is now closed but keep your fingers crossed that our digital efforts will be rewarded. More than 4000 people voted and we’ll find out the results at the awards gala.
